Mr. Ian Alvey
June 7, 1966 ~ April 14, 2021
In loving memory of Ian Keith Alvey. Ian left us far too early at the age of fifty-four. He was born on June 7th, 1966 in London, England to Keith and Joan Alvey. He was the third of four children starting with Sue, Elaine, himself, and then Neil.
Ian was extremely creative and loved to experience all that the world had to offer. He had an avid love for music, art and cooking. He spent many years cooking in the cafeterias of Britain’s public schools. Ian had owned and operated his own art gallery while also tuning bells at the oldest operating bell foundry in London.
It was his love of art that brought him and his wife Cheryl together. She had asked to join his online art gallery called “Art4Artsake”. He stated that when he had seen her, that he knew instantly that she was the woman he was going to marry.
He was correct. The two were wed a year later in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, Canada. Six months later, Ian immigrated to Canada to be with his wife Cheryl, daughter Eisha, and son Granger.
Ian took on the new role of husband and father wholeheartedly and never looked back. He had left his life in England and found his home in Canada where he enjoyed and loved eleven beautiful years with his new family. This happiness was cut short by his unexpected passing on early morning of April 14th, 2021.
Ian leaves behind his wife Cheryl; children Eisha and Granger; aforementioned siblings and their families who reside in Britain; mother and father-in-law, Harvey and Margaret Jensen; extended family members: Neil and Liane Jensen and family, Mark Schneider and Coralee Jensen and family, Chris and Carla Jensen and family; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews; and many friends and colleagues.
Ian was predeceased by his parents, Keith and Joan Alvey.
With heavy hearts we say goodbye to a wonderful man and this world will be less for his leaving it. There is a hole in our lives and in our hearts.
Rest in peace Ian Keith Alvey
