OLIVE ANNIE JOSEPHINE THOMS
April 16, 1939 ~ January 27, 2021
The family of Olive Thoms, aka, O.T. are sad to announce the passing of our Mom on Wednesday, January 27, 2021. Mom was born in Lampman, Saskatchewan, made her home in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, and lived a vibrant and fulfilled life of 81 years.
Mom is survived by her three children: Bryan (Jodi) Thoms and children Hannah (Holly Rivet), Lauren and Halle; Jackie (Blayne McKay) Thoms; Terri Lynn (Ian) Mundorf ,her sister Joyce Hagel, brother Ronald Butchko and her loyal companion, her dog Ginger.
With her steadfast and unwavering commitment to the Catholic faith, mom lived a fruitful and blessed life. Mom generously dedicated her time to serve the church in various ways and made many friends throughout her journey.
We are grateful for the strong values, morals, and work ethic which Mom instilled in us and anyone who was fortunate enough to meet her. She was an excellent cook and baker which was shared with many in the community. Mom dedicated her life to teaching and always had a love of learning. Over the years, Mom influenced countless lives. We are humbled by these same sentiments expressed by former students, colleagues, and friends. Mom also enjoyed gardening, traveling, and spending time with her family. She especially loved and treasured every moment with her grandchildren who lovingly called her Grandma O. In our hearts and memories, we will cherish mom’s smile, positive outlook, and laughter.
We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the doctors and nursing staff who cared for mom with love and understanding over the past month; your compassion eased our pain.
We invite you to wear something red, crank up the Elvis music, and reminisce in fond memories of O.T.; she wouldn’t want it any other way!
