Warrant out for arrest of Big River Man after an alleged sexual assault

UPDATE: Police have reported the Ahtahkakoop RCMP arrested Skylar Lachance without incident on March 3. He will make his first appearance at Prince Albert Provincial court on March 9 at 10 a.m.

There is a warrant for the arrest of a Big River man, who is facing three charges relating to an alleged sexual assault reported to Big River RCMP on Jan. 18.

Big River RCMP charged Skylar Blaze Lachance with three offences; sexual assault, assault causing bodily harm, and uttering threats.

According to Big River RCMP, they received a call from the female victim after the incident. She received medical treatment from injuries as a result.

Lachance could be in Big River First Nation or the Ahtahkakoop Cree Nation, but that has not been confirmed by police.

“He should not be approached. If you see him, please contact police immediately by calling 911 in emergencies or 310-RCMP,” RCMP said in their statement.
