Harriet Merasty was born on Wednesday, August 8, 1923, in Pelican Narrows, SK, and passed away on Sunday, January 10, 2021, in Flin Flon, MB, at the age of 97 years.

Harriet is survived by her loving family, her sons, Marcel (Glenda), Thomas; her daughters, Bernadette (Alphine) Clarke, Madeline (Nick); her adopted children, Lorna (Robert), Helen, Darlene (Tony), Arthur, Armand, and Ron Ballantyne; her grandchildren that she raised, David (Priscilla), Darren (Stephanie), Edwin (Clorice), Lisa (Stanley), Francine, Brooke (Byron); her chapans that she raised, David, Eldon, Naomi, Torianne & Baby Rita; her grandchildren, Alphine Jr. (Teena), Bernard, Amanda (Austin), Dwight, Amy, Arthur, Gail, Catherine, Ryan (Gwen), Abel, Lola, Cody, Jordan, Cory, Anguelique (Pelly), William, Jessica, Brianna, Daphane, Dayna, Desiree, Darlene (Samson), Kathy (George), Carla, Marilyn, Laverne, Raylene, Jolene, Cindy, Marcella, Shannon, Jarrett, Scott, Janice (Henry), Jeff; her Godchildren, Harold Highway, Alphonse Dorion, Rebecca Sewap, Kathy Michel, Robert Jr. McCallum; her great-grandchildren, One Hundred and Thirty-one; her great-great-grandchildren, Seventy-two; her niece, Lisa Cowall; her best friends, Bella Michel and Evelyn Sr. McCallum; numerous nieces and nephews, all who knew and loved Harriet.

She was predeceased by her husband, Alexander Merasty; her parents, Thomas Morin and Helen (nee Okemau); her siblings, Herman, Hubert, Angelique and Johnny, Nancy Cowall, Adolph; her daughter, Theresa Anne; her adopted children, Hubert Ballantyne, Joseph Ballantyne; her grandchildren, Francine Merasty, Lisa Angelique, Cameron, Madeline, Gary and Roland; her great-grandchildren ~ Beau Michel, Romeo Merasty, Rayne Linklater, Baby Linklater, Baby Girl Clarke, Baby Linklater-Merasty, Baby Linklater, Baby Jobb; her nephew, Clarence Michel; her relatives, Rod Morin, Gwen Morin, John Morin, Purre Morin, Arthur Morin Sr., Johnny Morin, Joe Morin, Philip Morin Jr., Kathy Morin, Rosaline & Henry Okemaw, Alec (Theresa) Morin, Dorothy, Noella, Ovide, Robert; her friend, Ms. McKinnley; those not mentioned are not forgotten, family, relatives, cousins and friends.
