Several partners provide funds for agriculture research
MELFORT, Sask. – Agriculture research received a financial boost from both the federal and Saskatchewan governments today.
Speaking at the virtual CropSphere conference this morning, Premier Scott Moe announced $9.8 million in funding for 39 crop-related research projects through Saskatchewan’s Agriculture Development Fund (ADF).
Moe said Saskatchewan’s agriculture sector has incredible growth potential and this targeted investment will help producers and agri-businesses deliver what the world needs.
“Our producers, our scientists and our researchers make a huge difference in the lives of millions of people around the world,” Moe said. “Saskatchewan is quite literally feeding the world.”
