The family of Sophie Stanowich sadly announce her peaceful passing on Saturday, January 2, 2021.

Sophie is lovingly remembered by:  her daughter Audrey (Billy) Starchuk, and their family Karen (Sergio) Faraone and Karen’s family Noah Bodnarek and Erica Bodnarek, and Jason (Carrie) Starchuk and their family Avery and Carter; her daughter Judy Hlewka; and her daughter Linda (Delbert) Cousins, their son Trent (Amy) Cousins and their children Gwendolynn and Ellora, and son Jared (Camille) Cousins and their children Kinslee, Tenley and Draxton; her siblings, Ann Welygan and Pete (Lou) Kantymir.

She was predeceased by her husband, Steve and son-in-law, Bill Hlewka.

A Private Family Celebration of Sophie’s life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of other tributes donations in memory of Sophie may be made to the Smeaton Care Home – PO Box 158, Smeaton, S0J 2J0, or Pineview Lodge in Nipawin – 400 6th Avenue East, Nipawin, SK S0E 1E0.
