Hubert Michael Ballantyne was born on Tuesday, July 24, 1951, in Flin Flon, MB, and passed away on Friday, November 13, 2020, in Saskatoon, SK, at the age of 69 years. Hubert will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his family, his loving wife of 47 years, Eva (nee Thomas) Ballantyne; his children, Darlene (Samson) Cook, Kathy (George) McCallum, Laverne (Robin) Morin, Carla Ballantyne, Marilyn Ballantyne, Hubert Ballantyne Jr. (Samantha), Gary (Debra) Thomas; his sisters, Lorna (Bob) McCallum, Helen Michelle, Darlene (Tony) Sewap; his brothers, Art Ballantyne, Armand Ballantyne; his best friends, John Merasty, Darwin Morin, Moise Bear, Justin Halcrow, Peter Beatty, Walter Beatty, Brent Lapointe, Jason Ross Isgnol, Little Benny, William Morin, Ronnie & Joyce Charles, Allan & Linda Linklater, Mike Foster, Weldon McCallum, Silence of the North; his special grandchildren-chapans, Connie Cook, Serena Ballantyne; 38 grandchildren; his godchildren, Priscella Linklater, Jarret McCallum, Kristie Michel, Eugene Michel, Ovide Michel; his in-laws, Robert (Florence) Thomas, Lorna (Mike) Custer, Marlene Thomas, Darlene (George) Michel, William Morin, Marie Rose B., Liza Thomas; his auntie, Harriet Merasty; his uncle, George (Mary) Ballantyne.

He was predeceased by his father, Peter Ballantyne; his mother, Angelique Ballantyne (nee Morin); his grandchildren, Estelle Cook, Loren Cook; his grandparents, Marie & Thomas Ballantyne, Angelique and John Thomas; his uncle, Roderick (Sarah) Ballantyne; his aunties, Rosie Goulet, Annie Custer, Sophie Goulet, Christina Merasty; his in laws, Helen & David Thomas; his brother, Joseph Ballantyne; his in-laws, Rosie Morin, Christina (Joe) Michel, Lena (John) Sewap, Rita (Moise) Bear, Roderick Thomas, Joseph Thomas; his nephews & nieces, Cameron, Roland, Gary, Madeline; his godchild, Joseph Michel.
