CFL fans may not be flocking to Regina for the 2020 Grey Cup due to COVID-19, but the league is still giving them the opportunity to get together.

Grey Cup Unite is a series of virtual events slated for next week that the CFL hopes will give its supporters a chance to celebrate the league.

Fans can register for Grey Cup Unite events here.

Saskatchewan Roughriders fans may want to take in:

  • A virtual town hall with CFL commissioner Randy Ambrosie on Monday, when he’ll update fans on the league’s plans for the future;
  • A question-and-answer session Tuesday with Roughriders quarterbacks Cody Fajardo and Isaac Harker;
  • A head coaches’ conference Wednesday featuring Saskatchewan head coach Craig Dickenson and others, including his brother, Calgary Stampeders bench boss Dave Dickenson;
  • Roughriders defensive co-ordinator Jason Shivers taking part in the Diversity Is Strength: Racial Justice Roundtable presented jointly by the CFL and CFLPA on Wednesday;
  • A feature Thursday on the 2020 Roughrider Champion Program, which includes a tour of the team’s football operations area at Mosaic Stadium;
  • A blast from the past starting Nov. 20 of the Roughriders’ Grey Cup championship game that fans wanted to relive. Instead of commercial breaks, the game will be include some of fans’ favourite in-game features from 2019; and,
  • A special event on Nov. 22, which would have been game day had the 108th Grey Cup been played at Mosaic Stadium. More details about that event are to be released at a later date.

In August, the CFL cancelled the 2020 season — and thus the Grey Cup — due to the effects of the pandemic.
