Jack Van Der Gragt

It is with sadness we announce the passing of Jack Van Der Gragt on Tuesday, October 27, 2020, at the Victoria Hospital, in Prince Albert, SK. He was 82 years of age.
Jack was born on Friday, July 15, 1938, in Holland, Netherlands, to Nick Van Der Gragt and Catharina Mol. The family immigrated to Canada in 1953, and settled in Ontario. He moved with his mom to Saskatchewan in 1979, and resided in the Prince Albert area. Jack walked for miles every year to raise money for the Head Injury Foundation. While he resided in Pineview, he was confined to a wheelchair, but he kept busy selling raffle tickets.
Jack is survived by his loving family, his sisters, Teresa (Arnold) Brewster of Prince Albert, SK, and Tina (Roger) Cournoyer of Ontario; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; his sister, Afra; his brothers, Peter and Cori.
A special thank you to Dr. Hammond and the staff at Pineview for the great care and attention Jack received. A private family service will be held, with interment to follow at a later date at the Pleasantview Memorial Gardens, in St. Catharines, ON.
