1983 – 2020

Jonas Robert Fau was born on May 27, 1983 in Regina, SK and passed away on Sunday, September 13, 2020 in Calgary, AB at the age of 37 years. He will be deeply missed by his family and many friends.

Jonas grew up in Saskatchewan in the Waskesiu, Christopher Lake and Prince Albert areas as well as spending a couple of his younger years in the Yukon. As he grew up, he was known by some to have a wild and free spirit. He had a kind heart and was always willing to help-out someone in need, but at the same time, he lived life at a fast pace. He loved animals and found comfort in playing with cats and dogs and other critters.

At the age of 20, Jonas moved to Alberta and worked in various areas in the oil patch. Over the years on his journey through life, he faced many challenges and struggles. He helped many people who were struggling with mental health and addiction issues and often neglected himself. He made a difference in many lives and will be remembered by many.

Jonas will be missed and lovingly remembered by his parents, Jean and Beverly Fau and their extended family; his son, Kaleb (and his mother, Lindy); daughter, Delaney (and her mother, Nicole); his birth parents, Glen and Kari Deics; birth sister, Kayla Deics and their extended families.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Jonas’ memory to the Mental Health and Addictions Unit at the Victoria Hospital, Prince Albert.

A Celebration of Jonas’ Life will be held at a later date once the restrictions from Covid 19 have been lifted.
