It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Steven Robert Kowal of Prince Albert on September 14, 2020 at the age of 85 years. Steve was born on March 2, 1935 in Honeymoon, SK to homesteading parents Walter and Anne Kowal. He married the love of his life Yvonne Provencher in 1961. They welcomed a son, Derek and a daughter, Lori to their family. Steve was a devoted father to his children and was extremely proud of the adults they had become. His greatest pride and joy were his four grandchildren, if given the opportunity he would tell anyone and everyone about them. Steve enjoyed extensive traveling, he lived life to the fullest and there was not a person he did not seem to know. Steve enjoyed an extensive career in automotive sales at Anderson Motors. Steve is survived by his son Derek (Stacey Cross) and their children Max and Marie, his daughter Lori Bolotniuk (Dan) and their children, Brooke and Cole, his sisters Ellen (Tom) Bayer, Fran (Lino) Giavendoni, Josie Yachatti, Ann Liebrecht ,brother-in law Dominique Provencher sister-in-law Evelyn Kowal and  Audrey Kowal and his partner Donna Dalziel. He was predeceased by his wife Yvonne, his parents Walter and Anne Kowal, his siblings Walter, Stanley, John as well as many brothers and sisters in law. A Celebration of Steven’s Life will be held at Plaza 88- 888 Central Avenue- Prince Albert, on Saturday, September 19, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. with Father Maurice Fiolleau officiating. Please note that attendance at this facility is up to 150 people due to COVID restrictions. The celebration will be videotaped and available after the service for those who are unable to attend, that link will be provided at that time.
