After taking his trades to China to play with the KHL’s Kunlun Red Star last year, Prince Albert’s Adam Cracknell is returning to North American ice.

The 35-year-old signed a one-year, two-way deal with the Edmonton Oilers. Should he play for the Oilers’ AHL affiliate in the Bakersfield Condors, Cracknell will join fellow Prince Albert product Dave Manson. Manson has been an assistant coach with the Condors since 2018.

Cracknell put up 10 goals and 24 points in 52 games as an assistant captain with the Red Star last season.

Prior to his KHL stint, Cracknell has played in 210 career NHL games across nine seasons and seven NHL teams, having last played with the Anaheim Ducks in the 2018-19 season. He also played eight games with the Oilers in the 2015-16 season.
