American senior dies in collision near Shellbrook

A 75-year-old woman from the United States is dead following a two-vehicle collision near Shellbrook on Friday.  

Officers were called to the collision on Highway 3, just west of Mont Nebo at about 9:20 p.m. and responded along with fire fighters and EMS.  

The car the woman was driving collided with an SUV and she was declared deceased at the scene, and was a resident of Walterboro, South Carolina. The driver of the SUV was taken to hospital with serious injuries.  

Shellbrook RCMP continue to investigate with the assistance of a Saskatchewan RCMP collision reconstructionist.
