It is with great sadness that the family of baby Shawn Alphonse Madsen announce he was born sleeping on August 20, 2020 in Prince Albert, SK. Shawn will be lovingly remembered by his mom and dad Laurlee Madsen and Mwibeleca (King) Alphonse; grandmother Moza Asumani, grandfathers; Rodney Madsen, Victor Lepine and Asani Bulahimu; brothers: Silver, Shadow, Samuel, sisters Storm, Starr and Seleema Madsen, uncles: Mulumba (Paula McKenzie) Alfonse, Swedi Alphonse, Jake, William Kashindi,  aunties :Rachel (Leroy Charles) Madsen, Rhonda (Neil) Baker, Lisa (Randy Cragg) Madsen, Charmaine and Gloria, great auntie Paulette Madsen, great uncle Perry Murray, cousins: Samantha Ratt, Stephanie Ratt, Skye (Grant McKenzie) Ratt, Sonny Madsen, Scarlett Charles, Sugar Madsen, Sweets Charles, Seth Charles, Kaltee, Leah and Shawna Baker, Jammy and Jackson Ratt, John and Jacob Campbell, Zander McKenzie, Hassan and Hazen McKenzie, as well as numerous other relatives and friends.

Shawn was predeceased by his brother: Saddy Alphonse Madsen of Prince Albert, SK., his uncle Jason Alex Victor Madsen of Prince Albert, SK; grandmother Brenda Lepine “Mama Grizzly” great-grandfather Alex Monkman; great grandmother Cecile Vanderwick “Grandma Grizzly” of Prince George, BC.
