The young male brought to the Shellbrook Hospital last week has been identified by the Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes Unit North.

According to a media release, he was identified as 20-year-old Wesley Custer. He was originally from Denare Beach but recently resided in the Prince Albert and Montreal Lake area.

Police say the death is now being investigated as a homicide and are asking the public for information on where he was, and who he was with before his death.

They’re asking anyone who has been in contact with Custer to contact Shellbrook RCMP at 306-747-2606. The Major Crimes Unit North is interested in receiving reports of suspicious activity around the Shellbrook Hospital to find out who brought Custer into the hospital.
