Gang member receives lengthy prison sentence for weapons bust, and B-and-E
The man responsible for Prince Albert’s SWAT team being called out to a home in the city’s west flat last February, has received a seven year prison sentence.
Sheldon Goodvoice, 23, was sentenced Wednesday at Prince Albert Provincial Court, after entering guilty pleas to a number of firearms related charges including possession of a prohibited/ restricted weapon obtained by crime, and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
On the night of Feb.19, 2020, police searched a residence in the 800 Block of 13th St. W. and located a sawed-off shotgun, three shotgun shells, two machetes and zip ties. Two bandanas were also seized at the residence which implies a gang affiliation.
