John Andrew Markowsky

December 23, 1951 – May 30, 2020

It is with great sadness that the family of John Markowsky announce his sudden passing at the age of 68 years on May 30, 2020 in Prince Albert SK. John was born in Langford British Columbia to Nick and Dora Markowski. John worked for CNR and later after retirement kept himself busy as a janitor at the National Hotel. Tragedy struck John and he had lost both hands but that did not slow him down. He found ways to manage his needs and became very independent. John still found a way to have a few drinks of Whiskey and collect those bottles for his collection.

John is predeceased by his two pet birds he cherished so much, his wife Noella, parents Nick and Dora Markowsky, brother Richard, as well as numerous aunts and uncles.

Johns memory will be forever cherished by his siblings Nick Markowsky, Edith Maas, Darryl Markowsky, Dean Markowsky, Carolyn Markowsky as well as numerous other friends and relatives.

Due to COVID the family has chosen to a private family graveside at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Grays Funeral Chapel of Prince Albert, SK  (306)9224729
