Sask. population now 1.16M as growth slows
Saskatchewan continued to grow, but at a slower pace than last year.
According to the province, Saskatchewan has grown by 3,026 in the first quarter of 2017 – or at a rate of 1.4 per cent.
That brings the total population to 1,161,365 people.
Looking back at 2016, there were 4,085 newcomers in the first quarter. Overall, Saskatchewan saw 18,007 new people by the end of last year.
