Cowles, Dorothy Evelyn
August 27, 1919 – April 4, 2020
Dorothy passed away April 4, 2020 at the age of 100 in Kelowna.
She is survived by two grandsons Duane (Kelly) Ferguson of Chilliwack and Darren (Trish) Ferguson of Hope, and great grand children Sheldon, Dustin, Chloe, Weston, and Destiny. She is also survived by a brother Sydney Newhouse and sister June (Ken) Elkerton and numerous nieces and nephews. Dorothy was predeceased by her husband Arnold, daughter Betty Lou (George) Bailey, and five sisters (Eileen Hedge, Violet Maxted, Nora Castle, Muriel Wilgenhof and Phyllis Given).
Dorothy and Arnold lived all their married life in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. They loved spending time at their cabin at Candle Lake. They both loved fishing and visiting with their many friends. Dorothy always liked to let everyone know that she caught the biggest fish.
Dorothy was a very loving person. She always took great pride in her family, her home, her garden, her appearance and her bowling scores!
The family extends our heartfelt thanks to Dr. Susan Medynski and the all the caring staff of Cottonwoods Care Centre. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
