COVID-19 phone line receives over 1,800 calls in first two weeks
A toll free telephone line which allows Saskatchewan residents the opportunity to ask non-health related questions about COVID-19, or report people who are not respecting social distancing rules, appears to be getting well used.
On Monday, a spokesperson for the Saskatchewan Public Safety Agency (SPSA) informed paNOW a total of 1,863 calls have been received since March 25th.
From those there were 365 calls about concerns related to violations of public health orders.
The toll free line (1-855-559-5502) is staffed 24 hours a day by operators who will be able to answer questions or point people to information ranging from government services to travel restrictions.
