P.A. chamber creates special business list amid COVID-19 pandemic

Amid the ever-changing landscape for businesses due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Prince Albert and District Chamber of Commerce has put out a special page on its website.

It offers a list which identifies area businesses that are providing altered methods to deliver their products and services to customers.

As one example, a local clothing store that is temporarily closed, is offering private shopping sessions if anyone requests it by phone. In another example, various grocery stores are modifying their hours or offering special times for seniors and vulnerable customers to shop.

CEO Elise Hildebrandt told paNOW various messaging from businesses had been scattered across social media so the chamber set up a directory.

“That way we have one place where everyone can look and ask questions,” she said. “ We’re all trying to do our part for each other; stay local.”

The list will be updated regularly and feature information from the provincial and national chambers of commerce.
