Ralph Frederick Mason was born on Thursday, September 15, 1927, in Clandown, England, and passed away on Thursday, March 12, 2020, at the Herb Bassett Home after a lengthy battle with complications from Alzheimer’s. His early years were spent in Clandown, England. After he married the love of his life, Mona (nee Parsons), they lived in High Littleton, until their move to Winnipeg, MB, in the early 60’s.

Ralph is survived by his daughter, Gaynor Mason-Bird; his grandson, Tyson Mason-Bird and his sons, Wyatt and Emmitt; his step-granddaughters, BillieJean Ruston and her children, Brayden, Jackson and Brooklyn; Meghan MacFarlane and her daughters, Kristin, Emily and Danielle; his sisters, Rose and Violet in England; his nieces, Jane (Rene) Cyr and their children and grandchildren, Doreen Mullen (Larry Pruden); as well as numerous family members in England. He was predeceased by his wife, Mona; his parents, Mary & Ernest; his brothers, Ivor, Ted and Gordon; and his son-in-law, Blair MacFarlane.

Ralph’s motto was “You need to look for work, it will never look for you.” He lived by those words, and was always busy in the house and yard, or helping others. He was an exceptional man with a big personality, and a wonderful sense of humor. He will be missed and never forgotten.

His family would like to express our heartfelt thank you to the Staff at Herb Bassett for their wonderful care and endless compassion.
