Pierre Leonard Sewap “Bob a.k.a The Chief” was born on Saturday, March 12, 1955, in Indian Island Denare Beach, SK, and passed away on Thursday, February 27, 2020, in Flin Flon, MB, at the age of 64 years. Pierre is survived by his wife of 42 years, Doris V. Sewap; his daughters, Stephanie (Darren) Linklater, Brenda Joyce (Gerald) Ballantyne, Bridget, Montana and Givanna; his sons, Gilbert, Godfrey, Roderick and Jonathan; his grandchildren, Darcy Joe Sewap, David M, Kelvin J, Jimmy D.P. Linklater, Theresa Ann, Heather G, Saralynn Rose, Rita M. Linklater, Justis Sewap, Jerome Charles, Carson Jobb, Griffith Linklater, Pheobe and Sunshine; his chapans, Kelvin, Robert, Krislynn, Kelsyn, Gracelynn and Troyce Carly H.; his brothers, Melvin (Margaret), James, Moses, Joe, Tony, Geroge Dean, Ronald, Marius (Charollet) Sewap, Clifford (Valerie) Sewap, Phillip and Kevin (Murtle) Sewap; his sisters, Susan McDermott, Linda (Randy) Cook, Maggie, Annebell, Jane and Mary; his auntie, Mary Pacy; his sisters-in-law, Marlene (John) and Claudia (Gilbert); his nephews, Bearclaw Fosseneuve and Sid Anderson; numerous relatives and friends who knew and loved him. He was predeceased by his parents, George and Margaret Rose Sewap; his son, Preston Kyle Sewap; his brothers, Roderick, Williiam and Murdock; his sisters, Brenda Linklater and Georgina Sewap; his grandparents, John Baptiste Dorion and Eliza Fosseneuve (Budd); his uncles, Peter Fosseneuve (Atchis) and Leonard Fosseneuve (Joe Louise); his aunties, Judy Cook, Hilda Dorion and Lucy Fosseneuve; his grandchild, Rayanne; his brother-in-law, Archie (Elvena); his godmother, Maggie Highway; his sister-in-law, Vivian Ratt; his father-in-law, Philip Ratt; and numerous nieces and nephews. The Wake Services for Pierre will be held on Monday, March 2, 2020 at Wapaw School, in Pelican Narrows, SK; and continued on Tuesday, March 3, 2020 at Denare Plex, in Denare Beach, SK. The Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Wednesday, March 4, 2020, at The River, in Denare Beach, SK. Interment to follow at the River Cemetery, in Denare Beach, SK.
