Drinking water advisory issued in Birch Hills

Feb 25, 2020 | 2:18 PM

Birch Hills is under a precautionary drinking water advisory, but the town administrators are hopeful the advisory is lifted by Wednesday.

The Water Security Agency (WSA) issued the advisory on Saturday, Feb. 22.

The advisory, which is posted on the town’s website, was issued “due to a water treatment chemical overfeed causing elevated turbidity,” according to a news release from the WSA.

Residents are being advised to boil all water for drinking purposes for one minute at a rolling boil before consumption.
