Donita Heather Lohnes will be sadly missed by her loving husband and family. Donita was born on Sunday, Jan 10, 1954, in Flin Flon, MB, and passed away on Thursday, February 13, 2020, in Saskatoon, SK.

She was an instructor at Northlands College for 21 years. Her passion was teaching and trying to make a difference for her numerous students over the years. And she left them with many memories.

Donita married Lawrence Anderson on October 10, 1998. With that marriage, she instantly inherited 4 bonus children and affectionately became known as “Nana” to her bonus family. She retired from the College and Lawrence continued to operate Anderson Tire and Muffler in La Ronge.

Donita served on many different boards in her community and also enjoyed gardening and quilting.

She was a vibrant woman with an infectious smile and always had time for a chat, a coffee, a hug and a helping hand. Donita thought outside the box and always had her very own style. Donita loved life and she loved her new life she made with Lawrence.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 29, 2020, at the Alliance Church, in La Ronge, SK, followed by a lunch and time of fellowship at Kikinahk Friendship Centre.

A Memorial Come & Go Tea will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 1, 2020 at the La Ronge Senior’s Hall.
