Raymond Tommy “Big Ray” Okemau was born on Monday, October 5, 1964, in La Ronge, SK, and passed away on Friday, February 7, 2020, in La Ronge, SK, at the age of 55 years. Raymond is survived by his loving family, his wife, Alice Okemau (nee Roberts); his daughters, Reanne Okemau, Jenna Okemau, Jean (Robin) Custer, Paula McKenzie, Elizabeth Roberts, Charlene Halkett, Candace McLeod; his sons, Phillip Thomas (Okemau), Charlie Okemau, Phillip (Jerilee) Roberts; his granddaughters, Arianna Okemau, Carley Roberts “Baby Girl,”Ryder Custer, Sebastian Roberts, Lisa Roberts; his brothers, Lawrence (Ernestine) Okemau, Brian (Lindy) Okemau, Christopher (Georgina) Okemau, Jonas Okemau; his sisters, Adeliade (Phillip) Bear, Jean Thomas, Ann (Clayton) Morin, Cora (Kevin) Sinclair; two of his many favorite grandsons, Solomon “Solly” Bear, Ian “Dude” Charles; his special nephews, Steve Okemau, Kaleb Sinclair; his sisters-in-law, Martha Charles, Jean McLeod, Sally Roberts, Sophie Charles, Annie Charles; his brothers-in-law, Robert Charles, Alex Charles, Jerry Charles, Leon (Linda) Charles, Napoleon Thomas; numerous nieces and nephews of Southend, SK, Sucker River, SK, Grandmother’s Bay, SK, Pelican Narrows, SK, many cousins of Prince Albert, SK, and Southend, SK; his friends, William & Cecilia Merasty, Henry Ratt, Phillip “Filthy Phil” Charles, Jonas & Virginia Bird, Albert Ross; many others who visited while he was in the hospital. The Wake Services will be held on Tuesday, February 11, 2020 at the Sucker River Hall, Sucker River, SK and continued on Wednesday, February 12, 2020 at the Southend Band Hall, Southend, SK. The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, February 13, at 2:00 p.m., at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Roman Catholic Church, Southend, SK. Father Petro Ligtas officiating.
