Missing 36-year-old man found deceased

UPDATE: 36-year-old Richard Netmaker has been located deceased today near Pekakumew Lake nearby where he was last seen on Jan. 6.

An autopsy will be done in a few days to determine the cause of death as the investigation is ongoing in conjunction with the Coroners Service of Canada.

The Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crime Unit is investigating his death and disappearance.

According to a media release from Saskatchewan RCMP, he was last seen on Jan. 6 in an area three to five km northwest of Big River First Nation.

Netmaker is 161 pounds, 5-9 inches tall with black hair and brown eyes. He also has numerous tattoos on his forearms and a scar over his right eye and a scorpion tattoo on the left side of his neck.

Investigation has shown he may need medical attention and may have been assaulted.

He may not have a coat and not be dressed for the weather, so it is important he is located as soon as possible.

The RCMP is unsure of his whereabouts and searches so far have failed to locate him. The RCMP think he may have caught a ride and may no longer be in the Big River First Nation area.
