Car hit by train in foggy conditions north of P.A.
paNOW has been learning more about a frightening incident Saturday night in which a couple who were driving in the fog north of Prince Albert were hit by a train.
The incident happened off Highway 2 near the Wahpeton turn-off.
“The vehicle ended up sliding into a train car. It grabbed onto the vehicle and dragged it a short distance into the ditch,” Sgt. Lisa Molle with the P.A. RCMP detachment told paNOW. “Investigators at the scene found there was very poor visibility caused by fog along with slippery road conditions.”
Molle said there was no suggestion the driver had not been cautious.
