RCMP say stray bullet killed Burnaby, B.C., man, 85, in his own home
BURNABY — RCMP say an 85-year-old man has been shot dead in his own home in Burnaby, B.C., and believe he was struck by a stray bullet.
They say the victim, Chang Yong Cho, was found dead in his home around 4 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 30, more than 14 hours after reports of shots fired about a block away.
Police say Burnaby RCMP officers had responded to the initial report near 18th Ave. and Humphries Ave. around 1:30 a.m.
They say a vehicle suspected to be linked to the shooting fled and an initial investigation did not locate any injured victims.
