Drug bust in Pilger nets over half a kilogram of cocaine and meth

A drug bust that occurred in the small community of Pilger, netted over half a kilogram of cocaine and over 52,000 unstamped illegal cigarettes.

On Aug. 27, Saskatchewan RCMP executed a search warrant at a residential property in Pilger.

In addition to the cocaine and cigarettes, officers also seized a small quantity of methamphetamine and several weapons, including a gun, a baton, and a conducted energy weapon. There was also a sum of cash.

Gaeten Carrier, 60, is facing a long list of charges related to the unauthorized possession of a firearm, drug trafficking, and the sale and distribution of a tobacco product that is unstamped.
