No reasonable doubt as Tisdale human traffickers convicted: judge
Two men who were recently found guilty of human trafficking by a provincial court judge in a Saskatchewan-wide case that included the Little Town Restaurant in Tisdale, will be sentenced this fall.
The restaurant owner, Mohammed Masum, was also found guilty of sexually assaulting the Bangladeshi victim on multiple occasions between 2022 and 2023.
Masum and Sohel Haider were tried by provincial court Judge M. Martinez in Rosetown, with the trial stopping and starting over 18 months before it concluded in June 2026.
Martinez convicted both men after concluding, “I do not have any reasonable doubt about the guilt of either accused” and finding S.K., as she is referred to in court documents, to be a reliable and credible witness.
