Woman found injured along Highway 11, possibly assaulted in Prince Albert

A woman is being treated in hospital with non-life-threatening injuries after police say she was assaulted in Prince Albert. 

Prince Albert Police were called to an area along Highway 11 by members of the RCMP, roughly 11 km south of PA, just after 11:45 a.m. on July 18, where they found a woman on the side of the road suffering from what were believed to be serious injuries. 

The victim was transported to hospital, and investigators believe she was assaulted in Prince Albert. Officers are investigating to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident, with help from the RCMP. Members of the Forensic Identification Section also attended the scene. 

The investigation continues.
