RCMP charge Nipawin man after girl found at residence

Ahtahkakoop RCMP have charged a Nipawin man with unlawful confinement and sexual interference. 

Police said the man had been communicating with a teenage girl on social media. On July 12, he met her on Ahtahkakoop Cree Nation and left with her in his vehicle. 

The incident was reported to police, who determined their location. Officers found the girl and arrested the man at a home in Nipawin about two hours after receiving the initial call. 

Drann McKay, 22, from Nipawin is charged with one count of unlawful confinement and one count of sexual interference.
