Pelican Narrows woman arrested after seizure of weapons and meth

Pelican Narrows RCMP have charged and arrested a local woman after seizing weapons and drugs from a residence in Pelican Narrows.
On July 4, police conducted evening patrols in the community to check for compliance with the Peter Ballantyne Cree Nation’s new emergency safety measures.
During the patrol, they performed a check at a house on Linklater Street, and were granted permission to enter. Inside, they saw illegal firearms, ammunition and a bag of white powder.
They arrested 30-year-old Kerry McCallum and requested a warrant to further search the home.
