Two teenage boys sent to hospital after intentional hit and run: police

Jun 30, 2026 | 12:59 PM

Prince Albert police said an incident early Monday afternoon in which two teenagers were struck by a vehicle, was not random.

The boys were taken by ambulance to hospital. One suffered serious injuries.

Around 12:30 p.m., police, paramedics and the fire department were called to the 700 block of 32 Street East. While police did not confirm it, sources close to the incident said the incident occurred in the Art Hauser Centre parking lot.

Through their investigation, police determined a group of teenagers and young adults had gathered where several vehicles were present.

The occupants of one vehicle were bear sprayed, leading to a physical altercation involving multiple people.

During the altercation, an 18-year-old boy intentionally drove a vehicle into another vehicle before striking the two victims, who were standing in the parking lot.

“All parties involved are known to one another, and police do not believe this was a random incident,” police said in a statement.

The suspect, an 18-year-old boy, fled before police arrived. Police said charges are anticipated and the suspect will not be identified until formal charges are laid.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Prince Albert Police Service. Anonymous tips can also be submitted through Crime Stoppers.
