Police activity along riverbank

The Prince Albert Police Service is advising the public of an increased police presence in the 1400 and 1500 blocks of River Street East and  1st Avenue East.  

Eastbound and westbound traffic is blocked at the intersection, and motorists are asked to use an alternate route. The police service said traffic restrictions are in place and members of the public are asked to avoid the area until further notice.

No other details were provided. The police presence began in the early morning hours.
