New warden at Sask. Penitentiary in Prince Albert  

A changing of the guard has occurred at Saskatchewan Penitentiary.

Pattie Krafchuk is leaving and new Warden Kevin Fowler has taken her place.  

“Pattie and Kevin have demonstrated a sustained commitment to safety and service, consistent with long-standing tradition that distinguishes the managers and staff of this institution. I am proud to work alongside them as colleagues on the Prairie Region senior management team. Through their leadership, they have earned the trust and respect of staff and offenders,” said Acting Regional Deputy Commissioner, Kathy Neil.  

The change of command ceremony was held on April 16 and Corrections Canada issued a news release the following day.
