Over three kilograms of cocaine, meth, fentanyl and MDM found inside Prince Albert basement suite

As a result of a search warrant executed in a basement suite in Prince Albert, local police seized over three kilograms of drugs and approximately $12,500 in cash.

Liban Elmi, 34, has been charged with multiple offences, including possession for the purpose of trafficking cocaine, methamphetamine, MDMA, fentanyl, and possession of proceeds of crime over $5,000.

In January 2026, investigators received information that a man was trafficking cocaine and methamphetamine from a residence in the 800 block of 7th Street East, prompting the Prince Albert Police Service Crime Reduction Team (CRT) members to conduct an extensive investigation.

On Feb. 13, 2026, they executed the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant.

The quantities of drugs included 1,515 grams of cocaine, 608 grams of methamphetamine, 152 grams of fentanyl, 1,328 grams of MDM.

There was also a drug packaging materials, three cellular phones, a digital scale and a money counter.

Elmi appeared in court on Tuesday and was remanded to Feb. 24.
