Snowmobile and truck involved in crash north of Prince Albert

Parkland Ambulance is confirming a 28-year-old woman and a 14 year-old boy were transported to hospital following a crash Saturday morning involving a snowmobile and a truck.

The injuries sustained were not life threatening.

The collision occurred at the junction of highway 2 north and Township Road.

A witness, claiming to behind the pickup that t-boned the snowmobile, told paNOW the person on the snowmobile was ejected off and thrown about 10 feet before landing on the pavement.

“The child is gonna be okay, he managed to get away with a few broken bones,” they said.

Buckland Fire and Rescue, Parkland Ambulance, a LaRonge ambulance and RCMP members were on scene.

Buckland crews conducted traffic control at two different locations for scene safety.

Once the tow company removed the damaged vehicles, Buckland units then cleared the scene and returned to the station.
