City expanding payment options for parking
The City of Prince Albert is making things easier for residents when it comes to paying for parking.
Beginning this year, the City is introducing new options to pay with a focus on digitalization, an alternative for coins, meter cards, and hard-copy parking permits.
In cooperation with PayByPhone, the City is working on developing a new mobile parking app along with new kiosks at City-owned parking lots in downtown Prince Albert, 10th Avenue East near Saskatchewan Polytechnic, and the Prince Albert Airport.
Through the app, residents and visitors can choose to pay for hourly, weekly, or monthly parking, and can choose to pay by using their credit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, or PayPal account. The app will also allow residents to track their payments and receipts, as well as extend their parking time without having to run to the meter.
