Low water levels reported at Christopher, Emma and Anglin lakes
A lack of rain combined with high temperatures and wind has led to water levels at three of Saskatchewan’s lakes dropping.
The District of Lakeland said via a social media post that the pump that keeps water levels more even may be shut off if the numbers continue to drop.
Two days ago, Emma Lake was below the targeted minimum water level and Christopher and Anglin Lakes were barely above the minimum.
The Water Security Agency has a local contracted operator who checks the pumps daily at the pump house and reports levels back for Emma and Christopher twice per week.
