Sharks Make a Big Splash in Saskatoon

The Prince Albert Sharks Swim Club made a huge splash at the “Laser Swim Meet” held from ,April 10-13, in Saskatoon, delivering outstanding performances, smashing personal bests, and securing multiple podium finishes. With 17 medals won and several swimmers achieving major milestones, the Sharks proved their strength in the pool.

Meet Highlights

Clara G. Leads the Charge

One of the biggest stories of the weekend was Clara G., who achieved her first Priority 2 time standard in the 100m Backstroke, putting her in a strong position to secure a spot on Team Saskatchewan for the upcoming Canada Games this summer. Clara also dominated individually, claiming 6 medals

One gold, two silver, three bronze.

Sophia W. Breaks Through

Sophia W. had a breakthrough performance, earning her first-ever AA time and qualifying for the ManSask Swimming Provincial Championships in Winnipeg this July an incredible achievement for the promising swimmer.

Medal Haul & Relay Success

– Zoe C. was a force in the pool, securing 7 medals: five silver, two bronze.

– Jaxen S. impressed with a silver in the 50m Breaststroke, qualifying for finals in all his events, and achieving nine AA times.

– Ana S. continued her strong season, making finals and hitting seven AA times.

– Sophia W. made her first AA time ever, punching her ticket to ManSask Provincials and advancing to finals.

– Myla M. earned bronze in the 4x100m IM Relay and set personal bests in 100m Free & 50m Breaststroke.

– Maia L. contributed to the bronze-winning 4x100m IM Relay and qualified for multiple finals.

– Mikaela A. dropped time in all her events and grabbed bronze in the 4x100m Free Relay.

– Brooklyn D. and Savanah B. both had strong showings, with Brooklyn making multiple finals and Savanah setting a PB in the 100m Backstroke en route to finals.

– Rowan A. also had a stellar meet, achieving best times in all events.

Relay Podiums

The Sharks showed their depth in the relays, taking:

– SILVER– 4x100m Free Relay (Female)

– BRONZE – 4x100m IM Relay (Female)

With so many personal bests, new qualifying times, and podium finishes, the Prince Albert Sharks proved they are a team on the rise. Coaches and parents couldn’t be prouder of the dedication and effort displayed by these athletes.
