Alleged drug trafficker no shows trial date

A woman charged after a drug bust in Prince Albert, in which over $46,000 worth of meth and cocaine was seized, was no where to be seen when her name was called Thursday morning at provincial court.

As a result, a bench warrant has now been issued for Alexandra Tinker’s arrest and there is a risk she could lose the $2,500 deposit paid when she was granted bail over a year ago.

The case itself dates back to July 2023 when the Prince Albert Police Service’s Crime Reduction Team raided a house in the 1000 Block of 8th Street East.

Officers found 850 grams of methamphetamine, 43.2 grams of cocaine, a .22 rifle, a ballistic vests, two Airsoft guns, a digital scale, cellphones, drug paraphernalia and over $2,000 cash.

Tinker was 27 at the time of her arrest.

An extra 30 minutes was granted by the Judge Steven Schiefner for Tinker to appear for trial, and he noted that in addition to the drug trafficking charges, she’s also twice accused of breaching bail conditions.

Tinker’s conditions included living at an approved residence in Buffalo Narrows, abiding by a 24-hour curfew, and abstaining from any drugs or alcohol.
