Alleged drug trafficker released on bail with condition of $2,500 deposit

A woman facing multiple charges related to drugs and weapons has been released from custody but will have to abide by a number of conditions.

On Friday, the Crown Prosecutor overseeing Alexandra Tinker’s case at Prince Albert Provincial Court consented to her release. The specific reasons why were not given but normally have to do with a person’s lack of a criminal record or if deemed a minimal risk to run. There was however a condition she first pay a deposit of $2,500.

If she can stay out of trouble and avoid any breaches, the money will be returned to her.

Late last week, members of the Prince Albert Police Service Crime Reduction Team raided a house in the 1000 block of Eighth St. E.

Officers found 850 grams of methamphetamine, 43.2 grams of cocaine, a .22 rifle, a ballistic vests, two Airsoft guns, a digital scale, cellphones, drug paraphernalia and over $2,000 cash.

The estimated value of the drugs was over $46,000.

While out on bail, Tinker’s conditions include living at an approved residence in Buffalo Narrows, abiding by a 24-hour curfew, and not to be in Prince Albert unless for court. She must also abstain from any drugs or alcohol.

Her case has been adjourned to Aug. 3.
