Shellbrook council acclaimed, one seat empty

Mayor and council for the Town of Shellbrook have been acclaimed with one seat still vacant.

Amund Otterson retains his seat as mayor and Brent Miller, Cheryl Ledding, Pamela Boettcher, Tim Settee and Kathleen Nording are all councillors.

Larry Batten and Peter Halayka did not run again and Boettcher and Settee are new to council.

Because one seat remains empty, the town has issued a second call for nominations, with a deadline of October 23 at 4 p.m.

If more than one name is submitted for the final seat, an election is held just for that seat.
