A single parent who has dedicated her life and career to helping others strive for success is the latest provincial election candidate in north central Saskatchewan.

The Sask United Party (SUP) announced Terri Davis as the candidate for the Prince Albert—Northcote constituency.

Davis was born in Buffalo Narrows and raised in Choiceland where she currently resides. She has worked in Prince Albert education and employment since 2009 for the YWCA, Gabriel Dumont Institute and currently with Saskatchewan Polytechnic. She holds diplomas in criminology and entrepreneurship and numerous human resources certificates. She has also served on multiple boards including community futures, race relations and social issues and the Urban Multipurpose Aboriginal Youth Centres Committee. In 2023, she was awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Medal in the field of education.

In the declaration, the party said: “As a single parent, she understands the challenges of families and is willing to be the voice that stands up for the community and its people. She believes Saskatchewan has all it needs to be successful by taking a common-sense approach to rebuild provincial services and recognizes we are stronger united.”

The Sask United Party platform includes cutting the Provincial Sales Tax (PST) in half, from six per cent to three per cent, ending green energy projects proposed by Scott Moe’s ‘Net-Zero by 2025’ agenda, and the party believes in zero tolerance for violent and repeat offenders.

The SUP was registered in November 2022 and started by former Saskatchewan Party MLA Nadiine Wilson.
