Vise grips not a steering wheel: RCMP

Apr 22, 2024 | 4:20 PM

One driver in the rural area policed by the Ahtahkakoop/Shellbrook RCMP has learned that vice grips are not a substitute for a steering wheel.

Officers pulled a vehicle over for a traffic stop on Range Road 3063 at about 1:30 pm on April 17.

The officer noticed the vehicle had no steering wheel and the driver was using vise grips to guide the vehicle.

The driver did not have a driver’s license either and was ticketed and given a notice to have the vehicle inspected for safety.
