Gun-toting suspect found hiding at outdoor rink

Prince Albert Police say a man who was believed to be carrying a gun was found hiding in an outdoor rink.

At approximately 10:38 p.m. Sunday, officers were dispatched to the 500 block of 8th Street East.

After the suspect was located, a loaded sawed-off shotgun was also recovered with assistance from the Canine Unit.

Clement Chaboyer, 26, was charged with possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, carrying a concealed weapon, possession of a firearm with no license, and possession of a loaded prohibited firearm.

He appeared in Prince Albert Provincial Court on Monday and was remanded to appear again on Tuesday morning.
