Sex offender at centre of Sask. Amber Alert sentenced to 52 months by U.S. judge
A convicted sex offender who was at the centre of an Amber Alert in Saskatchewan in 2022 has been sentenced in the United States.
Benjamin Martin Moore illegally entered the U.S. in August of 2022 along with his common-law partner and her two children by cutting through a fence.
After the two children – then aged seven and eight – were found to be missing from their home in Eastend, an Amber Alert was issued.
The RCMP warned the public that Moore had a history of sexual offences, and was convicted in 2009 on a charge of sexual interference of a minor.
