Foul play not suspected following man’s death outside Prince Albert business

Mar 18, 2024 | 3:20 PM

A man who was initially found in medical distress was pronounced deceased when paramedics arrived.

That’s according to the Prince Albert Police Service in relation to an incident that happened in the city on Saturday morning.

Shortly after 8:45 a.m., officers received a report of a person down in the 200 Block of 38th Street East. Life saving efforts were initiated, however upon arrival Parkland Ambulance staff determined the 44-year old-man to be deceased.

After initial investigation it is believed the death is not suspicious or criminal in nature.

An autopsy will occur this week and the Saskatchewan Coroner’s Service is investigating.

The incident marks the second of its kind in less than two weeks.

On March 4, police were called to the 400 block of 15th Street East. A 54-year-old man, lying in the snow, was found deceased.

His death was also not considered suspicious.
